Protect consent records separately

Test recovery

  1. Choose a completed release.
  2. Restore its master, project and thumbnail to a temporary location.
  3. Open and verify each file.
  4. Confirm the backup date and permissions.
  5. Document any missing dependency before deleting the test copy.

A backup is credible only after a successful restore. Use neutral stable names, separate sensitive records and test recovery before a storage failure turns file organization into an emergency.

A final practical note

Avoid version names such as final-final-new. Use a controlled status and increment, then mark one approved master in the catalog. Hashes or file sizes can help detect accidental duplicates, but they do not replace opening a restored project and verifying that media, fonts and linked files actually work together.
